Diit is mainstream medicine that can suppress the incidence of latent diabetes mellitus and complications of acute manifestations can hit as well as chronic. Therefore knowledge of diabetes mellitus patients of diit have to really watch out for. The purpose of this research is to know the patient's knowledge about diabetes mellitus diabetes mellitus in diit Clinics Ngantru.

 
The research method used is the deskritif method. Population of 83 patients with diabetes mellitus are listed in the health Ngantru. Sampling purposive sampling are used with a sample of patients who seek treatment in diabetes mellitus Clinics Ngantru in accordance with the criteria of inclusion. Samples taken 30 people, instruments used in this research was quesioner with a total of 20 items,and each correct answer was given a score of 1 and false is given a score of 0. Research on time 3 – 9 February 2014.

Correct answer results are Then divided by multiplied by the maximum number of results in the form of a percentage of 100%. With. Then the results are included in the standard assessment criteria and can be categorized as follows: 76-100% good knowledge Categories, 56 – 75% of categories of knowledge is sufficient, 56% of the knowledge Category < less than research results obtained that knowledge about diabetes mellitus patients diabetes mellitus diit 14 respondents with an average 46.6% – category enough.

From the results above, showed that knowledge about diabetes mellitus patients diabetes mellitus with diit categories fairly so expect officers of clinics can increase knowledge by holding the extension health.
